Passing 1000+ downloads...
it'll be the last time i make milestone posts like these but, wow, i really am amazed and really thankful for everyone sparing time out of their life to play this project
i really honestly never expected this project to get this many, i know i said that last time but its the honest truth!
i just want to say thank you one last time for lending your time to my project, as much as i overly criticize myself with it, im just glad so many got to enjoy it, at least, i certainly hope you enjoyed it!
if anyone wants to ask anything related to the project, please dont be afraid to comment anything in this post or what not, i'll answer them when i can, its the least i could do
in the end though: truthfully, thank you

I made a lengthy review on the game, but to sum it up, this game is incredible. I don't think I've been more impressed by an indie horror game as of lately, and I seriously hope you continue with game development. Great job
First of all, I wanted to thank you for making this, as it came out during an important time of my life, and I haven't been able to forget about this game to this day.
That aside, what inspired you to make this in the first place, and how long did it take to make? Finally, will you be posting future projects on itch.io? I check often to make sure I don't miss any sneaky releases.
i appreciate the comment a lot, thank you! it means a lot to me that you even remember this dumb little project
its hard to roughly estimate how long it took to make this, given that it flip flopped between different projects and my general lack of experience as a game developer—if we counted how long it took ever since i initially made the project file, around 2 or 3 years, but realistically when i began working on it full time day in day out, took around 9~ months id say, a lot of it just learning the engine
and yes i do plan on uploading all of my future games on itch.io, even if i was to platform to steam; i would continue to upload my projects on itch.io as its a platform i wholly believe in and stand for
infact, im nearing the completion of a demo for my next game which will be on here real soon! maybe around next month or so, a project ive been working quite tirelessly on for the past few months—its not even remotely the same genre as heart project, but thats just who i am as a developer—i like making different games, not riding off things ive already done, but keep an eye out for it if youre interested, thank you!
edit: completely forgot to mention! my inspiration for making it was simply because it was a game i always wanted to make, it was in a way a dream game even if heart project isn't very good! i always wanted to make a short little experience like this, i remember using so many terrible "easy fps game maker" engines as a kid with zero understanding of coding to make something like this, and now with actual experience, i was able to make it!
I'll be looking forward to that then! Thanks for taking the time to reply.
P.S: I hope you have an area dedicated to 'developer commentary' stuff again. (it's fun to see what happened during development)
it's been a pretty long time since this was posted but if I may ask, can I get any hints for the 2nd "secret" in the red maze level? the catgirl drawing says there's another secret that activates something but I can't seem to find it so a little clue would help.
its in the very maze room itself while being chased.. youll have to do a bit of backtracking and requires to be interacted with—then youll unlock the secret at the end of the game!
I actually wasn't expecting a reply so I wasn't checking on this for a while lol so thanks for the answer.
